Thanks in advance friends.Remembering Madison Devries, co-founder of Jump Ahead While i am watching videos/movie in fullscreen mode (or normal) My UBUNTU 18.04 doesn't care and just switches my monitor to sleep mode. But I don't remember what i did to fix it.Ģ. I had same problem some, roughly, 8 years back. My old system, was a Intel i7-2600 build without any graphics card. I don't remember the version of VLC (Possibly 3.0.7 on same ubuntu 18.04 OS). Before fresh installation i didn't had this problem. Even while playing, there is a small delay while jumping forward or backwards. So, I installed 3.0.8 again and posting my problem here. I uninstalled 3.0.8 and installed 3.0.7 and checked. Only when i play, then video jumps to that frame and continuous playing. When video is paused, if i try to jump forward or backwards, using arrow keys, mouse wheel (whatever short cut) or clicking directly on the seek bar, time changes but video is not updating. I am running VLC 3.0.8 on my new build (Ubuntu 18.04 With AMD 3700X + Nvidia rtx 2070 Super).ġ.
